painted face

By beamish

She paints her rubber face and puts it on her plastic body.
Void of soul or the knowledge she should have one.
She walks the streets at a robotic pace unwilling to show herself unable to look outside her inner space.
But don't judge her as she is not at fault we the creators  of her and all the others should be held accountable. From when she was young beautiful and free.
We the monster said listen and obey me.
Suck it in push it out your not good were here to create self doubt.
So now she walks a model of our shame.
Perfect to the video screen but ugly in her own mind The beauty of a woman should never be her destruction in a better world it would be her induction to a place where she could be what that little girl used to see and we as men crush below our feet.
Not for her good but to please our needs and secure our place of insecurities

The wicked are rewarded and the good are damned, and nobody wants to take responsibility for anything. The culture of passing the buck is prevalent now, and it's great to see poetry that holds us as humans accountable. Very nicely done! Reb:).
