We Can't All Be Happy

By SirEnders

Not all of us are happy
Nor do we like to be sappy.
We sit in silence and think
And into our emotions we do sink.
The only calm we have is pain
I have never been sane.
Why do I have to stay
I just want to go away.
Greedy people seem so common
Like the gentlemen have been forgotten.
No one is following the chivalry way
Like the threads of a rope we fray.
Feels as though we are in a progressive war
Like we are storming the Normandy Shore.
We sit in place and remember the past
A time where we were happy, fades so fast.
They all say that we are birds of a feather
When in reality you have skin of leather.
I want to take my last shallow breath
I am willing to accept my death.
This world is flooded with heathens
Good and bad together are wreathen.
The inevitable will be coming soon
Like a duel between men at high noon.
I hate the life I have been handed
Over the years the loathing has expanded.
I have outlived my own expectations
I have no more tolerable patience.
I use the substances as an escape
I use the knives for more than a scrape.
There is no hope for the humankind
But we all have a unique mind.
Not everyone can say they are truly happy
They can also be stiff and very snappy.
This world has lost its way, our own fault
We have harvested the Earth, locked it in a vault.
Everyone will die, that is the answer to endless questions
There is no Damning Hell, There is no Holy Heaven.
Your mind will review your life before you die which can seem like years
So how to you know this is real? Maybe you are reliving all your fears.
Living seems to be so difficult now,
Remember when we didn’t have to bow?
I am disregarding the will to keep breathing,
On this night I am happy to say, I’m leaving.
One last shallow breath
I am become death.

Great expression of everything. "I use the substances as an escape I use the knives for more than a scrape". Good read.
