Lucifer's Theophany

By quantummysticist18

At whose hands has this torture been wrought?
Should heroism supercede villainy,
Should the Lord actually defeat the Devil...
If I am a sinner then I plead for mercy.
Angels and demons wear the same masks, after all,
In moral espionage.
I shall spend my days meticulously painting chapel ceilings
With icons of saints and verses from scripture
In the hope that I will be spared.
Armies of faith go on crusade in my brain,
But all I want is peace,
The peace to exist in mystic emptiness,
And be scattered to the four winds of heaven.
