Child Like Eyes
By Korruption
It's so much easier to see the world in a childlike way when you are in
a place that children play.
The world doesn't become varying shades of grey but rather black and white
and clear as a sunny day.
Politics no longer matter and agendas don't exist. The world fades to goodness
and the hope held within.
Trust is assumed and pain is quickly erased.
Life becomes so simple when you see the world through a child's eyes. You
see what really matters and the world becomes better. No need to hide.
China is another planet away and the sun is just a star of heat and light
in a sky that is too close to feel and to far away to touch.
Dreams have no limits. Rules are to be followed but the biggest one. The
golden rule which should never be undone. Is almost always followed in
a child's life.
Never to be broken. Then it should protect from strife.
Emotions don't boil within and anything can be fixed with an apology and
a promise to not do it again.
Maybe a kiss from mom or dad to make it alright. Those scraped knees are
the worst injury you receive and hungry means skipping snack time.
Death is so simple and loss is quickly forgotten. Not to be wiped away
but to keep from hurting another day.
There would be no alternative motive and honesty would be rampant.
The worst crime would be hitting someone and the worst punishment would
be a grounding.
Maybe the world would be better if we could all feel and see like a child.
We could all be peaceful and although there would still be a bully and
a victim, at least we would all know what everyone else thought of us.
In that very second.
It is so much easier to see the world in a childlike way when you are in
a place that children play.
