Anarchy in Spring

By quantummysticist18

Who would be so assuming as to govern a sweet spring cherry blossom?
No, the trees are free and beautiful as they bud in early April.
You cannot rule over the flora or fauna,
Nor can you rule over the guitars and drums
That play in basements, resonating through floorboards
To reach the folks upstairs at midnight's vigil.
A dead man slowly decomposes beneath a slab of concrete.
I declare him King!
Yes, let our every doing be overseen by death himself,
The one deity who reigns supreme.
When electrical conduction is achieved
And voltage flows from my fingers through cables
To where it can be amplified,
I have all the power of the mortal world
In my own arms.
Let all men strive for this grace.

It has always seemed to me that poetry, music, literature, contribute very special power. To conclude, this poem and the events it is connected to seem like hell on earth.
