Cryptic Mischief

By Antaya

The evil lie in crypts tonight,
Lurking deep, away from light.
Sunken eyes, within them lies,
The darkest evil, in grim disguise.
Creeping along on mottled feet,
A killing spree gone on repeat.
A chilling truth they do tell,
To make this world a living Hell,
They live inside the blackness of minds,
This evil lurks in varying kinds.
And when it comes to call,
This darkness will fill us all.
Whether we grovel on our knees,
Or hide among the trees.
The evil will take its fill,
No matter who it has to kill.
So enjoy the good while you can,
So marry that hard-to-get loving man,
So eat that one last lollipop,
Because you never know when the good will stop.
