Sky
By The Guardian Angel
Having spent the better part of my time in college on the rooftop patio
of my apartment complex, more than a few things have entered and subsequently
exited my mind countless times, like family staying over for the holidays
only to leave the next day with some fake excuse such as "My dog has an
appointment." or "Something came up. My yoga class is in thirty minutes!"
Such things are trivial, yet for some reason I can't help but focus on
one thing in particular. The sky. For some abstract reason I just happen
to find the sky so peculiar. It rains in one state, shines in the other.
It's open to all, and yet it appears to have a crown of mountains enclosing
it in. Such a peculiar thing for me to think, I know. You're probably thinking
that I should rather focus on why cancer exists or something more valuable
and worthy of my time. Well I would focus on those things if C#, C++, and
Java weren't all in my face asking for some abstract thing like "undefined
variable at line 252. Java.greenfoot is undefined for this class"
Anyways, back to the subject at hand. The sky, yes yes. I just... Find
it fascinating. Is it weird for someone to just stare at the sky for hours
upon hours while his essays lay without words and code remains unwritten?
Is it dumbfounding that I do the same thing right now, watching the sky
turn different shades and hues of ghostly white to vibrant and blinding
colors? I suppose to the average passerby and my parents that it would
be somewhat unnerving to watch your son stare out the window, one earbud in,
frozen with his hands over the keyboard, almost as if waiting for Christmas
to come... Oh wait.
In any case, I guess I found a new hobby for which to enjoy. Besides, I
just love watching the different moods the skies becomes during the course
of the day.

Stressed? That would've been the tone I had last week. I'm fine by all means and when I wrote this I was calm, but just taking in everything. May I ask as to why you're inquiring?

Not strange or pointless at all. It's what soothes you, encompasses your mind for a while and let's you drift. We all need this thing, lucky for you yours is everywhere you go. You only need to look up.
