Sayonara

By The Guardian Angel

Heard from far off in the distance, the sound of waves echoed around me
A sky about to cry wrapped itself around me
Heartbeats growing ever faster, our shadows overlapping
I thought those happy days would continue forever

Remembering that world I dreamt of, upon this pure white canvas,
As if casting a magical spell I continue to paint a future for us

My feelings are swayed and moved by even those kind lies
Even now things are unchanged when I think of you

Those touching fingertips and an existence I had grown accustomed to
I was unable to open up enough to keep those things from being wiped away
With this colorless world having become just a lifeless monochrome,
Will these connected hearts of ours be forgotten as well?

My feelings are swayed and moved by even those kind lies
Amidst this season which seemingly has no end, I'm still crying...

Do you still remember the promise we made back then?
Catching a side-long glimpse of your face trying to look unphased, you gave the slightest of smiles
My feelings are swayed and moved by even those kind lies
Even now things are unchanged when I think of you

Even when choosing a path that will keep us apart, I'll continue to sing:
"Goodbye, thank you" I'll walk forward with looking back
