Misery.Inside.
By BloodyMercy
Smiles painted on faces holding it in
they’re hiding memories of pain..neglect…
Misery.
Solid as a stone they bare the weight
they hold up the world on their own two feet.
Faces painted with smiles hold a million lies
they hold the truth…deliverance…
Inside.
Standing true against the darkest nights
they bring this world a little white light.
Smiles painted on the face of the chosen ones
they speak of regret…damnation…
Misery.
Silver tongues lash out at the weak
through sick glistening gilded teeth.
Faces painted in smiles are hiding
they hide the pain…truth…regret….
Inside.
They can’t hide the reality
the Misery. Inside.

Thank you - I would never have self described with that verbiage... but after reflecting the word melancholy sure does fit.
