Hit Me Baby, One More Time.

By Elle Amore

You've got me like a junkie.
Waiting on a fix.
A habit that I'm pretty sure,
I really need to kick.

The scars you've left upon me,
From nights you left me drained
Still sting from time to time,
With that sick, desired pain.

Wash over me, and fill me up
with that all-familiar feeling.
And when I start to come down
You'll simply leave me reeling

Just when I think I'm done,
and that this storm has passed.
You breeze back in, for one last time.
and just one more relapse.

Author's Note:

The irony of this poem, and it's relation to our personal history is something I find amusing in the early hours of the morning when I'm unable to fall asleep.
