Life's Highway

By NRoseJ

Life's Highway

Along life's highway,
we all age as time goes by;
Some sing cheers of happiness,
whiles others live to cry.

We set the pace for our own speed,
people whiz by everyday.
Some are old and some are new...
and some just passed away.

Seniors, are way ahead of the pack,
middle agers are close behind;
People in their thirties,
will soon be next in line.

The young adults live on the edge,
sowing their wild oats;
While teens try to be adults,
and middle grades, ache with growth.

Little ones love their parents;
babies are innocent with trust.
And some of those still in the womb,
quickly become dust...

Some have just conceived a life,
others cling to their last breath;
Still there are those who want to die,
desiring  their own death.

Along life's highway there are many...
people come and people go.
Some meant only, to pass by,
and others, to stay and grow

    Very nice work miss Rose! I loved the way you worked the timeline in reverse, very cool. If we could re-sow our wild oats.......I wonder how many of us would do so in a different field??? Nice write, good ending as well. Thanks for posting it....
