Burning

By Jeanne Fiedler

People burning slow
People burning fast
Life's pleasures wane
Remarkably fast

I'm knifed in the back
People gossip all around
People are everywhere
But no friends to be found

I wish I could fly away
I wish I could fastly run
I wish I could dance to the beat
so incredibly in the noon day sun

But now I'm afraid because
People have lost their faith
They're lost in their lives
to bring changes to their fate

I want to float in air
I want to casually drift
I need some experiences
For my sad spirit to lift

Please pray for me
and I will for you
We need so much love
for us to get through
