Half-Empty
By Kristoff
Have you ever thought of Russian Roulette?
The beauty of chance, the beauty of the bet?
I need to be kissed, need to be held
To be assured that all will be well
Can nobody save me?
Does anybody care?
Is there any hope for me?
Is there any anywhere?
My life has fallen to pieces
With no one to pick them up
My life is total shit
And what do I think of the cup?
Half-full or half-empty
I know my life will always be
Empty
Have you never thought of suicide?
The "sobs" of "friends", the "tears" they'd cry?
No one will care, but no one will say
The things that I need to hear everyday
Can anybody save me?
Does nobody care?
Is there any hope for me?
Is there any anywhere?
My life has fallen to pieces
With no one to pick them up
My life is total shit
And what do I think of the cup?
Half-full or half-empty
I know my life will always be
Empty
Have you wanted to find if you could fly?
The soothing winds, the placid skies
Not knowing why you even carry on
Where in life did it all go wrong?
Tell me I'm alright
Tell me I'm fine
Tell me I'll make it through
This forever fight
My life has fallen to pieces
With no one to pick them up
My life is total shit
And what do I think of the cup?
Half-full or half-empty
I know my life will always be
Empty
I wonder what it's like to die
Nothing to lose, no tickets to buy
I now know the meaning of life
Vodka, tears, and a fresh sharpened knife
Tell me I'm alright
Tell me I'm fine
Tell me I'll make it through
This forever fight
My life has fallen to pieces
With no one to pick them up
My life is total shit
And what do I think of the cup?
Half-full or half-empty
I know my life will always be
Empty
My life is empty

Yes, they were originally song lyrics... I wrote this a while ago, I just found it in my binder of lyrics... Thanks for all the feedback and concern, it makes me feel glad that people care :)

These words would make excellent lyrics for a song. Is that what you had in mind? I already see a catchy chorus in here. Great meter too.

Trust me sometimes we think no one cares but there's always someone who does and they might not even be aware that your feeling like this until it's too late...I can say that from experience. I did like the poem though.
