When I Said

By Daryl Bracken

When I said, “I Love You” I found

This feeling grew and to you I am bound

When I said, “Forever” I knew

That I was right as our family grew

When I said, “Will you be mine?” I find

Here is a woman, beautiful and kind

But

I never meant “I love you” more

Then when I said

“With this ring I thee Wed”
