Eternity

By Eisen

I’ve whispered words,

I’ve dreamed the dreams,

the things that were

and are to be.

Yet as time has passed,

the seasons change

I’ve found nothing is

the same to me.

And as I listen,

I come to see

I know nothing

of life’s eternity

I used to feel,

a lack of bliss

but now am blessed,

by wisdom’s kiss

The world that shifts,

in endless song

with notes that are neither

right nor wrong.

Each season has,

its perfect hue

boundless, open,

and vibrant too.

Again I turn,

and come to see,

I know nothing

of life’s eternity

Yet this is not,

a phrase of woe,

for life is perfect

melody.

Thank you both. I certainly hope it meant something!
