The Half Of It

By Elle Amore

The little blue writing at the bottom
says it can take me back to the beginning.
But it doesn't know the half of it.

The late nights; the lies
The corsets unbuckled
and disgarded amongst
the pages I wrote of us.
That you never saw.

The look in your eyes
That I would have killed
to see up close and personal

The sheer lust I felt, wishing my hands were yours.

They hold half the words, the other half is lost;
Save for our fading memories
