falling sheets.

By eidos

on mornings such as this
I think back to waking next to you
and realize that you have gone from
the dream that chose to reside in real life
to simply the reason that I now
talk in my sleep.

and I'm stuck between tasting you
in the form of eyes closed
and heavy breathing

or

simply laying here.
