falling sheets.
By eidos
on mornings such as this
I think back to waking
next to you
and realize that you have gone from
the dream that
chose to reside in real life
to simply the reason that I now
talk in my sleep.
and I'm stuck between tasting you
in the form of eyes closed
and heavy breathing
or
simply laying here.

Ache me to pieces. It's like gasping for air to breathe and swallowing for water to drink simultaneously because you're suffocating and dehydrating all at once.

There is something about the blunt simplicity of your words that strike a chord in my chest. This is the last of the butterflies fluttering on an empty stomache, the stain of ink and sweat, an unimaginable longing. Thank you for letting us be a part of it.
