Beneath the Leonid's

 The Leonid Meteor Shower put on a show this week.

But all I could think about

is the show I’ve been putting on for you.

The daily performance that I am happy

with us just being friends.

But there is a secret hiding

under my radiant surface.

I long to be the one

in your arms at night

I long to be the one

you stay awake to watch.

I long to be the one

you wish upon.

So I let my imagination run wild

because the only place it seems we’ll be together

is in my dreams

beneath the beauty of the Leonid’s.
