Another Chance To Dream

By spring hews

I had a dream about you.
Not so long ago.
It was a dream of a place I once knew.
Within your loving light where my peace could grow.
I drifted in and out of your smile,
like a sad memory.
I walked a thousand miles,
just to see your eyes staring back at me.
Within my slumber, I did weep,
for the joy of having you by my side.
I do not wish to wake from this dreaming sleep,
'cause time is truly something hard to bide.
But wake I must with rememberance still,
that I must bide my time,
and re-joice in the fact that I surely will,
once again, hold your little hand in mine.
