Blood Moon
By ForestDark
The blood moon rose
and in that red haze
waited for an offering,
while I,
bare handed and expecting a miracle,
stood under
this star
and gave one.
I had only this to give,
(with one good hand)
the other being crossed
and torn.
My word is good
fair moon,
and the miracle
I
waited for,
long gone.

...nice...miracles are fleeting & minimal, & do not compensate for the sacrifies we make...

So true about those sacrifices. It was a big one I made, but in the end....so worth it.
