Perfidia

By alesana

And so it occurred - no warning given
This drowning world choking on its heart
Thrash against its bindings bound
A war fought and lost we've not begun
End to start in bitter confusion
Like burning in the sun on an underwater bridge
No shelter still defined, divine
The dust like a necklace of rope aris'n
Swirling in a dark nebula mind
Crossed the threshold of disbelief
Enter into a world yet unborn
Words like needles sew the earth
Shaking and stumbling - the stars are gone
And so we fall
      into the black
swallowed by shadows
              once again
        alone.
