Flying Above the Night
By serenesavage91
The sky settled over head.
And I heard you whisper of fright.
So
forlorn and crushing,
Bursting dreams from the night.
You
held my hand and flew with me,
Snatching stars from the sky.
As
i laughed in delight,
You had only cried.
The galaxy was
painted,
Just for that night.
The moon hung around,
Just
to see that sight,
Lakes rippled in our wake,
Grass blew
in our breeze.
So strong and sure you and I soared,
Angels fell
to their knees.
We twined our fingers together,
High
above the ground,
Whispered you’d love me forever
Then vanished
without a sound.

What a sudden and shattering conclusion; the sudden longing and abandonment is crushing... I love your diction, you use unique words that entice the audience (very descriptive)... Tis always darkest before the dawn? :p
