Watercolor World

By LadyNovella

Darkness deepens as I dream,
'Til by and by I see,
Another world made only for me.

I flit and float through the air,
For gravity has no hold there.

Joyous rapture courses through my veins,
But then come the rains.

Leaden wings no longer gossamer,
Tear me from the sky.

As I hurtle toward the earth,
All color drips away,
Leaving only dull shades of gray.

Now I understand the words,
Nothing is as it may seem.

And as I open my eyes to watch,
Passing across the morning sun's corner
Are vibrantly colored birds.

I gaze into the light of rebirth,
Suspended forever in it's heavenly blue patch,
Of a watercolor sky.

...pretty is the word for this, & comfortable...you bring us into your dream, we float with you...
