The Smallest of Declarations
By Dethuntillite
Progressions of maturity anxiety halts
Insecure demons brought
to the outside
Indecisive perspirations of a slighted fear
Elation
traced to a covered happiness
Unleashed distress from an emotional
instability
Small joys no longer able to be seen
Unnoticed
scars altering a formerly sane reality
Directed feelings to places
not far enough from the inside
Her crumbling pieces losing
hope in nightly tears
Gracious pity for an eternally broken child
Heartaches stifled with each imploring breath
Mistaken transgression
for past penance
Solitude sighting a seemingly self-made end
No father to walk with a white dress at his side
Caresses by candlelight
in her fading dreams
Life snuffed away by the smallest of declarations
