An Everlasting Moment

By HadassahDare

And the power of your words
swung my heart
An empty space of time
filled with voidless kisses
And you brought me down
farther than ever before
An endless sigh of discontent
filled the bitter air
And your gaze shattered
everything I'd known of caring
And the effortless touch of your hand
pushed me closer than before
And I felt the war might be over
but one can never be sure
An everlasting moment
hung in the air
And I knew I could forgive you.
