Heart Is A Muscle

By Silence

This sinking pit in the the depth of my stomach
A familiar sting
Not an insecurity or pressumption

Something I have felt before
So I can recognize the signs
The need for a talk in private
Lack of any affection
After not speaking for days
When we could have all to easily

Get it over with already
So just say one of a few things it could be
That will all do the same no matter the words
Rip out my heart from its pirch in my throat
And stomp it till the fragile thing is mangled beyond reccognition

Then it can mend
And never be the same

You can see at least one heel print
From the ones that came before you
