Relative Theories

By Ocean of Truth

These thoughts are jumbled
By the misguided reactions
Of the life-like cadavers
Surrounding this life of innocence

These theories
Relative in nature
Can only apply
To one situation

Of which no one else
Seems to grasp
      [quite like you]

But then again
This grace
Will only last so long

Before the fall

-------------

The rise to power
Never felt so alive
Nor tasted so sweet

And yet felt so alone

In this casket
Since the day it was pronounced

A hero of a modern era
Savior to the throne of good

A bastion to the work of great men

Or merely a tool to be used by fools

Tragedies written by nature herself
 {they always were her favorites}

--------------

The minds eye
Only powerful
For the ones that can control it
Even then it may be
More trouble then it is worth

But for one,
It will never be without use

For it is the last hope
The last string....
....tying him to humanity....

A tortured soul
Lost in the whirlwind
Created by a life
He would never be able to finish

Torn by love
Tortured by hate
Yet always used
For the mundane....

....never realizing
His full potential
A god-like air

Never to be lifted
 (above these walls)

------------

The master becomes the slave
And only time will show
Who really mattered most
Or who was just manning a post

These feelings will rave
But in the end
We all cave
And lose all self-control

The universe will do
As it intends
Correcting and ever moving
Like the waves
That once created it

But we are just particles
Floating and waiting
To be gathered again

The future will come as it pleases
We can only cry our sorrows
And beg for it to have mercy

       On our merciless souls
