Introspective
By Apsarra
I am not special
Though by some I am loved and appreciated
most
walk by and do not see me.
I am not popular
Uless someone
wants something.
want, need, desire - It is all the same.
I am not beautiful
am I?
Some say so.
I am not
gifted
At what cost were they spawned
The words from my pen,
mouth, pictures from my eyes,
I guess I need none of these
things
to appreciate true beauty when I see it
for the fleeting
second it exists before it perishes.
The little girl has been
laid to rest
The princes, white steeds, and castles are myst
Understanding
comes - nothing lasts forever.
As much as we try
As
much as we deny
We all have lived - simply to die.

Author's Note:
Much of my poetry is filled with randomness. Seldom Do I stew for a substantial amount of time. Generally if I do - the piece never gets completed as the mood is lost.Comments on "Introspective"

Lotsa soul in this poem, enough to prove that the line "I am not gifted" wrong.

Ah..This is really good. Randomness is always welcome especially when it actually joins dots :)

The thoughts of worthlessness are ever present in all of us I think. Though all of us are eventually going to die I find it best to live in the now. Good Write.
