On both sides of the body

By Starshine

Like the pain when something hard strikes the skin and the coldness at night

Mostly it burns more in my dry throat than the liguid from the dark green bottles

Like walking on too hot sand and the sharp slide against the neck

Like the mornings when the sun is hell and the daylight is death

And loneliness is on both sides of the body

Like the joker in the game and the only safe card
and the duration of the soul and the only thing that last forever

Like the blockage in the drain and the drip from the ceiling

When loneliness is on both sides of the body

I really liked this and the title was inspired.
