Highland Gentleman

By Kittykat

I can see your light is dimming
It grows more distant every night
You're such a kind and gentle man
Not deserving of such a painful fight.

Your courage is the strongest
I have ever seen
Your love for your family unwavering
As you slip in and out of dreams

Are the angels singing?
Whispering their song
Telling your guardian angel
To carry you along.

I know heaven must exist,
Somewhere way up in the sky
A place where pain may not enter
And no one ever cries.

When you get to heaven
For your eternal rest
Please take my prayers with you
So they'll know they've got the best.

Please God hold him gently
He's fought so very hard
And let this highland gentleman
Walk amongst your stars.

In memory of my second father, a man who taught me not all
men are bad, and true gentlemen still do exist.

My condolences for you on your loss. He would be very proud of this it is truly beautiful. I love the imagery this piece has. Very well done. Krys
