The Killing Fields

By DarkPaladine

The Killing field runs deep and wide dead rotting bodies
can not escape your sight.
You look to the left and then to the right and death and
destruction stay's in your sight.
A young child walks up to you and you are not sure just
what to do.
You hear a gun shot off to your right and that young
child dies in your sight.
You try to wrap your head around the sight, Your buddies
knock you down like in a fight.
You go to get up off the ground but the explosion comes
and shakes the ground.
You sit there confused in the dirt but you soon realize
that your not hurt,
Your buddies saved you that day by sending the child
to an early grave.
You see it would have been your time for that child
carried a personal mine.
He was sent out to kill you that day, But he was the one
that got blown away.
The thought of what happened make's you ill
but at least you are not the victim of the
Killing fields.
