I Love the Night
By Daryl Bracken
I hide in the night
Searching, listening, Waiting
not for
the music or the laughter
I yearn for one sound
not one most
would hear
without the help of a vampire's ear
There
up the street
I hear her before I see her
the sound is music
to my ears
the lub dub lub dub of her beating heart
My eyes fix on her face
Her bueaty concerns me not
the sensual
alure not what draws me
only the lub dub lub dub concerns me
Closer she comes, to her I am invisible
no one sees me
before I want them too
Her scent reaches me, like fresh washed hair
the sweet scent of her blood excites me
I stalk her for
awhile
waiting for the time to strike
Now now now my mind
screams
I strike with no more force then a breeze
wrapping
her in lovers embrace
My fangs find her neck, I bite deep
Oh the sweet taste of her blood
it is almost sexual, orgazmic
my venom works quickly, she is in bliss
like a lovers dance
we turn
She can not scream as her life fades
I hear
the heart falter as her blood fills me
she becomes cold, I feel the
new warmth
I will not turn her, she is prey
I release her and
she falls dead to the ground
I am satified, my hunger satified
I walk into the Darkness
No haste in my step, a thin smile
on my lips
I love being a Vampire
Most of all I love the
night
