Pure

By Chalin

seeking an impossible
outcome to a
neverending problem;

my demeanor swallows
me up
so Holy and Completely

hung knowingly by
my lack of restraint

so simply given
up to hide;
presented by a
ceremonious battle

all for surface pleasantries;
the materialistic calamities
are woven into place

built upon one another;
not interchangeable but
so starkly dark and
permanent

it is a painful scene
to see; far more of
an aching emptiness
to write the disturbing out
of my system
