Elegy Echo

By Mirage

Atrophy
Lost behind the eyes of a blinded angel
Indifference persists in slitting my wrists
Blood runs black from my dying star
Atrophy
Does love remember me?
Slow suffocation in its absence
Oblivion is a viable alternative
Atrophy
Predetermined or unlucky in my meaningless pursuit
Denied once again for a reason undefined
Sleepy, blood-shot eyes crave the nightmare
Atrophy
I will end where I began...
