An Angels Tears

By Kittykat

I know you can't see me, but I am here,
Watching all the cruelty in this world,
A baby left, left in the rain alone,
The garbage that surrounds him stinks,
Such a precious little life,
His mother on drugs, dirty and lost,
The warm solitude of the womb, gone,
Left in the cold, dark night tonight.
All I have are my wings to shield the rain,
His new pink skin, now blue with cold.
Cry, Cry louder baby, Let someone hear,
I will not leave you sweet child,
Keeping vigil over you for hours now,
As the new day dawns death creeps closer,
This child so helpless, so hungry for his
mothers breast, even a breast polluted with
drugs is better than none. How could she
leave you, place you on a bed of cardboard
and rot, so she can continue to fill her body
with poison, don't worry baby she will be
judged for her evil, selfish role. But wait,
What is this I see, coming closer, a man.
Oh no! he has come to dispose of this filth.
You must cry! baby!  He stops, you are heard
child, I will pull away now for you are found.
This man he has kindness in him, the first
act of comfort is shown to you, as you are
wrapped in his coat.  I watch as you are taken
to the safety of his arms.  This child is saved.
