Just Another Story

Just Another Story

I sit and wander
through the memories
years spent Idol
wasting away

and I dream
I am disdained
by the mundane
like a sprinkler
on a melancholy day

and I dream
flowers painted
never losing color
sunbeams like
apricot streams

and I dream
I am a witness
to its beauty
to its glory
cyanide breath mints
the end of the story

and I dream
music dancing
in my head
songs never written
forgotten instead
left away
in a wasted
ignorance

and I dream
I am pain
heart stained
malignant
adrift
a moth
in a world
meaningless
and
gray

And Yet

I

Dream
