a song to my love

By JingaBelle

is it odd that we sing
across the miles
through time and space
here for all the world to see the sound hurts our hearts
but it has to be sung
slaves to our hearts senseless, timeless, ageless
the beautiful melody
haunts us always
despite all we've done to destroy
love remains burning
and we don't know what to do about it
we sit at our desks
pouring our hearts out
crying to a computer screen
people all around us
read yours then mine
never realizing they are witness to love
to agonizing pain
powerful enough to rip us to shreds
our love song
printed in this dark space
our love immortalized
provided the computers don't crash :)

A very true statement. Liked the light heartedness of the ending line. The rest of it was spot on. Nicely written :)
