Cornucopia

By Qurious

Come little children and hear the tale
Of the Headless Horseman who has prevailed in
Reigning terror through Sleepy Hollow
Never go over the bridge to follow
Use your head like Ichabod Crane
Constable, coward, partially insane
Off with their heads
Pounding hooves roar
Into the books as, thankfully,
American folklore

***entry in the Thanks O'Ween Acrostic contest***

(my first ever acrostic poem, I believe! Or at least the first since I was in elementary school....which was a long time ago. :))
