Can't You See?

By thornyrose

cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness is doing to me
in the midst of shadows and light
it is my favorite place to reside
in its safe embrace
cant you tell? cant you see ?
what this darkness is doing to me
no longer full of life
eyes growing dim with each passing day
heart growing cold as ice
cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness is doing to me
searing pain rages thru my soul
as it begins to wither away
never to come back again
cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness is doing to me
lack of trust
life full of lies
you did this to me
cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness is doing to me
silent pleas go unheard
as i sink deeper into the shadows
no time to say goodbye
cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness is doing to me
its almost over now
the breath being drawn
as the chill creeps over body
cant you tell? cant you see?
what this darkness has done to me
