Lost soul

By heathenpoetry

He wondered round the empty streets,
like a lost soul trying its way back home,
battling against the stinging wind,
constantly struggling and struggling alone.

Searching for anything for anyone-
alone in this world just needing a friend,
his eyes have lost colour his smile has gone
his willing to live; so close to an end.

Scuffing his broken shoes as he walks,
trying so hard not to cry for a while,
a familiar face is all that he stalks,
so sick of his hatred he wants back his smile

He realises now what he didn't back then,
the memory has just returned to his head,
reminding himself- again and again;
nobodys present because everyones dead.
