Hook Line & Curve Ball

By Sealed Identity

You saw the things
I couldn't see

You spoke the words
I couldn't speak

You picked me up
when I'd fall down

Fished me out
from murky waters

The tables turned
and I failed to mention:

I've got no reciprocation
My word that was as strong as oak
is merely a locket you wear filled with saw dust

I loved you then
and I love you still.

But I'm moving past
throwing a curve ball
outside of our plans together.

I told you I'm a straight shooter, but,
I lied with my eyes
I bluffed with my smile.

Read the words The Kids scream out
"I don't want you to love me anymore"

Shorty,

Regret is less when you transform it in poetry. Or maybe it grows. but you face it, at least.
