I Don’t Make Love, I Build Self Esteem

By climaks

This is all you could ever aspire to
Trapped in a room,
Flooded with people
Naked with a virgin daiquiri
On top of the table for all to see…
Unnoticed is my whore to be

Now it’s a party.

*How did we get here?
Bracing my neck to choke back tears
Where did you come from?
Out of the gutter to join the carnal theater

What do you want with me?

This is your last sliver of dignity
Don’t give it up so easily.

I don’t have the heart to send you away.*

Is this really where you want to be?
At the center of attention in my back seat
This is not the way to calm your shaking hands,
But this is so convenient,

What the hell, it’s a party.

**

I have recipe
(Of carnal disaster)
For low self esteem
(To burn a little higher)
Take a cry for attention
(Fuel to the fire)
Bake at 98.6 degrees
(Conflagrant desire)

I have recipe
(Of carnal disaster)
For those like me
(To burn a little higher)
Take a cry for attention
(Fuel to the fire)

And fuck it
(Conflagrant desire)
