disdain...
it is that with which he greets her, now.
disbelief...
that she is not who she should be, now.
as he learns his project is flawed.
she was once......exactly who
he needed her to be.

now, he is choking on the bitter p.ill of her
rising self assurance.

a moth to the flame..she is no longer
yet his vision of her remains...lustful, desirable, pliable.

her words are, now, timeless....hushed....infused with a sense of
calm.
his tongue is tied....he never did want to learn a second language.
so, his empty suitcase will only hold so much hope

alone in the darkness....
....he quietly believes it will be alright.
