Doctor

By BethanyBallet

There's a midnight patient
And he's waiting for you
Why don't you go and save him?

He's all alone
And to him, it seems, as if his heart
Just keeps on breaking.

Come on, Doctors.
Hook me up to a big machine,
..or something.
I'm bleeding badly, and I’m scared to sleep
because of this... dream I had
And it keeps on coming back.

You were there, though
You were there..
And I’ve never seen you
But you were saving me
And saving me..
When my face was blue

All I remember is swimming too long
In a sea of desperate regret..
And waking up here, to find that my life
wasn't quite over, yet.

So thank you nurse and thank you doctor
For letting me try this again.
I'll never forget, all the trouble I caused
And the crevulating pain I was in.

I really like this one. Especially this part "All I remember is swimming too long In a sea of desperate regret.. And waking up here, to find that my life wasn't quite over, yet." That is an amazing line. Love you, Mom
