Waking Up from...Death

By Henry Coldnight

And I got up feeling even
more tired than the night before
but there's no more noise outside and this is no hell;
and the sky is still blue and the clouds are still white,
the grass is ever green and the Sun is ever bright;
My heart was splashes of paint on a sheet of light.
