this is the engagement of a lifetime.

SETTING:
brithday: wednesday june 11.
picture this..
we're in the middle of olive garden
eating dinner, opening presents and laughing..
and keith grabs my hand, gets on one knee
and asks me the most important question of all time..
"will you marry me?"
of course i said yes, i love him with all of my heart.

this is the engagement of a lifetime
you, me, forever as one, together until we die
and i never saw it coming.

last september was the worst month of my life
i fell apart without you by my side,
and i never saw it coming.

december was the best month of the year
when you came to me, tears in your eyes, and said you needed me
and i never saw it coming.

this year, i've put our differences aside, fell into you
and let myself give in to your love
and i never saw it coming.

last year, in february, you said you loved me
i was overjoyed, i almost cried,
and i never saw it coming.

we were in the middle of olive garden
when you grabbed my hand and slipped on the ring
and i never saw it coming.

tonight, i am alone, because you decided to stay with your mom
we're not fighting, and i know she needs you more than i do
i'm just waiting for your call.

i can see it now..
its going to be 4am
and you're going to call or text just to say you miss me.

as soon as your mom goes to sleep
its going to be non-stop text messages
and i honestly, i cant wait.

i miss you when you leave for 5 minutes
my heart actually hurts when i'm away from you
and i hope that never changes.

i hope when we are old and wrinkly,
when we have silver hair and saggy skin
we still love eachother the same as we do today.

i look forward to spending every night from today forward
laying next to you in bed, even if you do hog the blankets and pillows
and feeling your warm skin touch mine.

i can't wait until we get our own place
so we can decorate it the way we want
and i can scream as loud as i can when we make love.

i can definately wait for the fights, the money problems,
and all the other things grown-ups that are married fight about
but i would rather fight with you, than anyone else.

i love you so much, and even if you dont know,
my words cannot describe the way you make me feel inside
and i can sit here for hours trying, or you can believe it.

you are my best friend, my lover, my finace..
you are the best part about being awake
and the best part about sleeping is, i'm right next to you.

every morning, when i open my eyes, i want to see your face
i want to smell your morning breath, even if it makes me gag (lol)
and i want to listen to you complain about it being hot in the room.

simply put - you are my everything and i love you.

ahhhhh... how sweet it is LOVE! I am glad that you have found your soul mate... in the words of wedding crashers... True love is your soul's recognition of its counterpoint in another. (I loved that description) congrats to you and keith, love mom!
