To My (love) Presh

By Phoenix

So many times ive tried
Few times i've even cried
Hoping you would come back to me.

My heart beats faster when it hears your name
It flutters like a butterfly
When you could kill me with a word
You can save me
I've longed for you
For your touch
Too many nights spent without you
I've had time to reflect.

The time to say what i feel
All thats left is my soul worn thin
My heart can deal with breaking
I miss you.

All the words in the world cannot bring you back
All the Cuddles cannot repair the damage
But know when i look into your eyes
And say i love you (i miss you).

I mean it.

I've learned to live without you
Forced to sleep an empty bed
The gap will always there
These strangers infecting my soul
Fill my heart
Make it whole again.

I can promise you a thousand things
I can say a thousand words
I can not see without you at times
I know you won't feel the same as I
In time I shall forget your touch
I wish not this fate.

Many reasons untold
Of why i love you
So many more to find words for
Presh.

Rectify thy my mistakes
Be there always
For i will be for you
Kiss away your tears
Hug away your fears
Love you when you're hurting
Show you what love's supposed to be
Total and utter devotion.

Stroke your cheek
Looking into your eyes
Kiss you softly
As we fall into the night
I will whisper...

I love you.

The one I love was also a Phoenix of sorts. I wish i could have heard that from her. You made strokes of brilliance in that next-to-last stanza. Scholar
