Prose III :: No Place
By RhymeBound
i am the stillborn who returns though i was never gone. i approach as i
go away and i carry on by faltering on the path.
i cross horizons with each step, yet there is no soil neath my feet and
no sky above my head.
i return to a place that is no place.
no moon would rise, no sun would sink, yet everything casts shadows nine.
the seasons do not turn as there are no seasons to be turned. no bud there
blossoms, no leaf would fall. no winds blow there of roiling change, nor
winds of olden times.
no road leads there, none leads away.
it is a place that I can never go to and that i can never leave.
a place I can only return to.
