Live On From Where I Stopped
By Hello Dead Kitty
Here I lie and watch while they die
Those faded, fallen blooms spent.
I wonder as I bade my good-bye,
Where was I when you died?
Was witness made to your life so turbulent?
As your wickedly beautiful petals
Clung to its parent host for dear life?
Else a random footstep, unaware,
Pried you off into the windy might?
Standing amongst your many kindred alike
I pray for your understanding if this must be life’s plight.
Death does not equal rest for our collective souls as one
Spray on, drop your seeds where in they must be sown.
Venture on, sons and daughters of ours,
Remembering always from whence you were born
Live each day if it were the last one
We give over the best of our souls so worn.
Your gifted seedlings to the world you hand out
Lest we cease to create and all words you tout
Mean nothing without
Virility proven by the seeds thus forth sprout.
