Reflection

By NotMyOwn_20

Words fail so often,
The reflection is always painful.
The memory is numbed to your relief.

Face to face with yourself each day,
Living and dieing in no good way,
Willing the pain to just go away.

(But it doesn't.)

So many who are false, so many who lie,
They just play a temporary game
With your life.

Knowing full well what they do,
Pushing you to your knees,
Telling you there is no use in getting up.

(That you can't get up.)

But while they push you to the ground,
They set themselves up for defeat.
For the greatest attack is the greatest weakness,
When the weakest fall to their knees,
filling the air with their sorrowful pleas,
crying their hearts out to the one who sees.
